The Guild @ Lyle Kirk
Hello and welcome to the Guild page of Lyle Kirk web site.The Guild meets on alternate Thursday afternoons at 2pm in the small hall of the Union Street building. We have planned a varied and interesting series of meetings which we hope will appeal to most tastes and interests in the congregation.We hope that if you see in our syllabus any topic or activity in which you are interested you will feel able to come along and join us. A friendly welcome awaits you. Remember both men and women are welcome to join the Guild.The first meeting of the new session is on Thursday 9th October 2015.

Thurs 29th   The Annual Business Meeting of the guild takes place this afternoon in Union Street 2 - 4pm



Thurs 13th   The guild is holding a Christmas Celebration today in Union Street 2 - 4pm 




Thurs 17th   Mrs Betty Terris is visiting the guild today to talk about the Inverclyde Tourist Group. Union Street 2 - 4pm

Thurs 24th  The guild welcomes a speaker from Erskine Hospital to talk about the care available for wounded soldiers;  Union Street 2 - 4pm

Thursday 28th   The guild welcomes Alison Bunce today. She will speak about her idea to provide Going Home Boxes  for patients leaving Union Street 2 - 4pmhospital.                                                                                     



Thursday 28th    A speaker from "The Free To Live Trust" will update the guild on Seema's project which aims to build a home for abandoned street children  and a rehabilitation centre for victims rescued from the red light district in Pune ,India.Union Street 2 - 4pm


Today, Sunday 13th November 2016,

we celebrated with members of Lyle Kirk Guild with their long service awards. The following were presented with certificates on their years of service, some presented today (photo above) and others at the recent Dedication service:
20 years : Rhoda Chalmers, Myra Crowther
25 years : Helen Thomson, Avril Hood
30 years : Moira Kennedy 
40 years : Florence Cowe, Jean Allan, Margaret Campbell, Margaret Griffin
50 years : Sheona Ritchie, Helen Murray, Mollie Ross, Betty Wright, Jean Gray
60 years : Jean Glen, Helen Stirling

That's a collective 650 years service! Well done to all and may you all enjoy many more years service.
